Real Deal Poker - Delivering Real Cards Online
Playing cards were invented over 1,000 years ago. Mathematicians state that the chances anyone has shuffled two decks of cards in the same way are infinitesimally small. The number of permutations of a deck of cards are over eighty unvigintillion, that is 80658175170943878571660636856403766975289505440883277824000000000000 ways. Or, if you shuffled one deck every second for the history of the Universe you most probably would not have repeated the deck.
Who We Are
We are; engineers, businessmen, software developers, accountants, gaming industry veterans and people who like to play poker. One third of all poker players and gamblers do not trust computer random number generators (RNG) to provide cards to games. With the huge odds against duplicating a real deck (above) why should we accept that the only way to play cards online is with decidedly less than RNG. Well, we do not accept it.
Real Deal Gaming LLC has the proprietary software/hardware, and patents that allows it to deliver fully scalable numbers of decks of cards to any online game, as fast as RNG can provide. Our first product is online poker, which you can play on our demonstration site. We are now working with online game developers and operators to bring other products to the market. Join us!
Gene Gioia, an experienced live poker player found his online poker experience concerning. To him the cards he received did not seem random. Gene visited poker forums and found that the discussions around RNG (random number generators) being used, representing online playing cards was not favourable. Gene had what he describes as a ‘lightbulb moment’. ‘Real Deal’ was born.
Andy Gioia (Gene’s brother) is an experienced engineer and he set out to build a machine that would automate the following: Verify a new deck, read barcode (on each card), video the deck. Scramble the deck to achieve an initial mix. Stack the deck and perform a number of riffle shuffles. Video the deck sequence and digitise it.
Fundraising was completed which would allow for the manufacture of the automated systems. In 2008 Dave Cleveland PE joined Andy Gioia. In 2009 the prototypes had been re-designed and re-engineered with modular components.
The software required to digitise and deliver the decks securely to an online poker room was completed and integrated with Cyrom Poker Software. The automated system was tested and approved by iTech Labs.
The automated systems were sent to the Isle of Man and a gaming license was issued to the company by the Isle of Man Gambling Commission. In March 2010 RealDealPoker.com went live. Despite attracting over 50,000 players, miss-management, third-party charges and under-funding, forced Gene to order the site closed and every player received their balances in full.
In 2016 Gene was approached by an online games developer to use Real Deal technology. Over the past year, a new, experienced and trusted management team was formed and Real Deal Gaming LLC began trading. The automated systems have been overhauled and the software is being re-developed. Our first point of business was to integrate the system with online poker software and build a subscription poker site that can be used to demonstrate the technology. We are now fundraising and expect to be offering real-money gaming in early 2018.
